Soula was everyone’s all time favorite waitress. We knew her for 3 decades when she moved from California to NY. What a sweetheart. She always smiled and spoke about her family. We had a great friendship and looked forward to seeing her at Ops. We are heartbroken. She was incredibly private, never mentioning her pain. Her presence, laugh and smile will be forever missed. Hugs and prayers to her family.

"HEY GREEK!" That was my intro to Soula, when my husband, a Greek, learned there was another Greek in the North Country. Whenever Greek friends were up, we were sure to invite Soula. Then we became friends, so easy to do with her, and it no longer took other Greeks around to find a reason to get together. Such a fun person to be around, such a caring friend, an amazing mother who put her children before her needs at all times.
I will miss you, Soula you. Kalo Taxidi. You leave a big, gaping hole behind.

My first memory of Soula was her first day of work at OP Fredericks Restaurant. She had recently moved here from California. She showed up dressed in a cute skirt and shirt looking beautiful. I can remember us girls already working there chuckling and saying that outfit won’t last long…she’s an Adirondack girl now! From that day on we became coworkers and friends. We had the same sense of humor and laughed at the same stupid things. Many nights yet another customer would ask if we were sisters and I’d always give the same answer, of course loud enough so Soula could hear me, that yes she’s my older …. sister. She’d give me the same stink eye look and then laugh. And of course the customers loved it and laughed with us! Waitressing can sometimes be stressful but we always did whatever we could to make the night working together fun and of course we always looked forward to that complimentary martini or vodka and seltzer at the end of the night. Soula and I also found time to hang out together outside of work and had many of lunch and shopping days. Soula could shop with the best of them! I will also always hear her voice and will miss her sense of humor. Soula you were taken too soon from your family and friends and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace ♥️

Although we had not seen one another for quite a while we had many memories growing up and a deep love for each other. When Soula lived with us, we had a lot of fun and our bond was strong. I am sorry Soula struggled these past few years, I wish I had known. Keeping her and her family in my prayers. This picture is when Soula and her children came to visit because my sister was diagnosed with cancer and passed away shortly after their visit. She wanted to be with us, because she was a loving and caring person.
