I met Claire in 1966 when we were assigned to one another as room mates at ESU. We spent all four years of college living together. We pledged the same sorority and borrowed one another's clothes. She became my best friend and sister. When we married we were bridesmaids in each others' weddings.
She and Ken raised Collin and Corey with a love of adventure and outdoor activity. We joined them at their mountain house as families to hike and ski at White Face Mt. Claire took us ice skating and sledding on a toboggan which made us all as white faced as the slope itself.
Claire had a busy life spent working hard at a job she loved and living with Ken, the love of her life.
She phoned regularly and never missed my birthday. We laughed a lot-we cried some-but most of all we talked-I trusted her. A random meeting grew into a lifelong friendship.
I admired and respected Claire. I loved Claire and I will miss her for the rest of my life.
