Obituary of Ginger I. Culver

Chestertown: Born December 22, 1937 in Ilion, she was the daughter of the late Galen and Thirza (Stanley) Briggs. Ginger graduated from Ilion High School in 1954. She went on to further her education at the University of Buffalo, where she studied to be an x-ray technician, while working at Meyer Memorial Hospital, and graduating in 1957. She is survived by a sister, Bernice Winchip and her companion, Richard Balser; a nephew, Bret Winchip of Chestertown; and a step-daughter, Debbie Shippee of South Glens Falls. At Ginger’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled. She wished to thank Susan and Mary Butler, John Little, Patty and Les Smith, Jolie Penistan, as well as Dr. Petracca and his nurse Peggy, Dr. Sponzo, Jean Van Auken, and Dr. Pillemer for their caring assistance through the years. Her family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff on Tower 2 at Glens Falls Hospital for the excellent care she received during her illness.
