Gene and I grew up together in Ossining (grade school, high school, Boy Scouts, etc.). Both of us were members of the same fire company (Independent Hose) of the Ossining Fire Department. We have not seen Gene since he moved up to the "North" country. After moving up to Hudson Falls last Fall, we were always going to get touch, but guess it was not meant to be. However, I will always remember the good times that we shared. May he rest in peace. Rod & Pris

I only knew Gene for a few years, but we became close friends. We would go for haircuts and breakfasts in Warrensburg, and he came to my home for July 4th parties, and we enjoyed hunting together. He would stop by and talk and have coffee with me on Hadley Hill. He kept me informed about everything - hunting, fishing, tractors, and equipment. He enjoyed talking about guns and the military. I found him very interesting to talk to and will sorely miss his presence. May God rest his sole, and grant him peace.
