Obituary of Ula Pearl Cameron

Athol: Ula Pearl Cameron, 90 of Stony Creek Rd., passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her home following a long illness. Born September 20, 1924 in Carroll County, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Clara B. (Coulson) Doss. Pearl married Donald R. Cameron on December 7, 1944 in Athol. The couple were partners in Cameron and Cameron Lumber Co. for many years. Pearl was a devoted mother and enjoyed volunteering with the home Bureau. She loved to sew and family genealogy. She was instrumental in the formation of the non denominational church in Athol. Besides her parents, her beloved husband, Donald passed away on October 11, 1988 after 44 years of marriage; her sons, Donald and Michael Cameron; two grandsons, Cameron and Leigh; brothers, Michael, George W. (June) and Clyde; sisters, Edrie, Mildred, Luella (Blue) have all predeceased her as well. She leaves behind her children, Clara Vasak (Al), Ula Cameron (Gator), Giles Jennings, Virginia Balling; grandchildren, Giles Jr. (Guy), Nichole, Krystal, Donald Jr., Darcy, Albert III, Adam and Sarah; Sisters, Lillie Cameron of Athol and Barbara Williams of Virginia; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private and Pearl will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Donald Cameron in the Cameron Cemetery, Athol.
