Obituary of Dale E. Bealmear

Please share a memory of Dale to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lake George: It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Edward Bealmear announces his passing after a courageous battle with COPD on August 10, 2016, at the age of 64. Born December 6, 1951 in Hanover, Maryland, Dale was the son of the late William Rowels and Dorothy Marie (Schmidt) Bealmear. Dale spent his childhood and adolescent years in Hanover, Maryland. In 1968 his family relocated to Middletown Springs, VT where he lived for many years. During his time here Dale graduated from Poultney High School in Poultney, VT in the Class of 1969. He spent a significant amount of time working as a local contractor in Vermont and New York before working for the Skyline Corporation in Fair Haven, VT for ten years. Dale and his family moved to Whitehall, NY where he owned his own business, Fair Haven Affordable Housing. In more recent years, Dale and Colleen lived in Warrensburg, Hudson Falls, and Valdosta, GA before relocating to Lake George. Dale enjoyed spending his time working as a contractor, especially with his heavy machinery. In his spare time he appreciated the beautiful scenery of New York and Vermont and enjoyed long drives on country roads exploring for bodies of water. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is remembered for his caring side and the love he showed for others especially in "bigs and bunches" for his daughter Jennifer. His grandchildren remember him for the life lessons he gave them as he showed a great interest in their reading skills and teaching them to shake hands. Others remember him for his bountiful wealth of knowledge whenever anyone needed advice on how something worked or how to fix things. He is also remembered for his sarcastic and witty side, his “fairly crappy” days, and getting a lump of coal from Santa every year in his stocking for his bah humbug attitude. Dale was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Bealmear of Longmont, CO. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen Bealmear; daughter Jennifer Ann Bealmear of Chesapeake, VA; son Jeffrey Dale Bealmear, U.S. Navy Chief, and his spouse Nicholi Bealmear of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter Kaitlyn Ashley Quick and her spouse Kevin James Quick, U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant, of South Glens Falls; grandchildren Chloe Elizabeth Bealmear and Brody Alexander Bealmear of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Natalie Jacqueline Quick, Nathaniel Alexander Quick, and Nicolette Isabella Quick of South Glens Falls; brother William Bealmear and his wife, Barabara of Littlestown, PA; brother Timothy Bealmear and his wife Sue of Fawn Grove, PA; sister Mary Lou Gustapherson and her husband Gus of Millsboro, DE; sister Dorothy Ann Dorsey and her husband Bruce of Hanover, MD; sister Barbara Reed and her husband Raymond of Middletown Springs, VT; and his first wife, Nancy Ann Bealmear of Chesapeake, VA. At Dale’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled. Many thanks go out to Sharon, Gail, Patti, Alicia, and the rest of the palliative care team at HHHN as well as the HCR home care team. He never would have made it this far without any of you. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the children's section at Crandall Public Library. Please visit www.alexanderfh.net for online guest book and condolences.
