Obituary of Patricia R. Olden

Warrensburg: Patricia R. Olden, 87, of Fourth Avenue, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born March 28, 1928 in Carthage, she was the daughter of the late George B. Rourke and Genevieve (Holliday) Rourke-Irvin. Pat was a graduate of Carthage High School in 1945. She furthered her education at SUNY Albany, where she obtained her teaching degree. Pat married Alfred Leslie Olden in 1952. She taught at Warrensburg Central School for 39 years, before retiring in 1988. In addition to her parents, and late husband, Pat was predeceased by a brother, Robert Rourke, and her sisters, Ann Chaufty and Dorothy Haller. She is survived by her children, John L. Olden and his wife, Sharon, of Park City, UT, and Robert M. Olden of Warrensburg; grandchildren, Macey, Ryder, Brandon, Brayden, and Brody. At Pat’s request there will be no calling hours scheduled. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Gerald B. H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery, in Schuylerville, where her earthly remains will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
