Mrs. Frank, I truly admired Mr. Frank's gift of music during my high school years at WCS in the early '60s. As a member of the chorus, I used to marvel at his ability to play the most difficult pieces "at sight". He was a great encouragement to me as an aspiring (but self-taught) pianist, and he willingly gave of his free time during the lunch hour to share his knowledge with me. I recall that my mother Armine, whose classroom was adjacent to Mr. Frank's, had only the nicest things to say about him. My sincerest condolences to you and to your family.

Mary, Marla and Lesley I am so very sorry for your loss and that of your families. With Bob's passing, this world is left with a little less compassion, genuine caring for others and musical notes of joy which brought smiles to peoples hearts.

I have such fond memories of painting in Mary's studio while Bob was playing old songs so beautifully on the piano. Whenever anyone asked him how he was, he responded with a resounding "outstanding!" - it still makes me smile thinking about him. My sincere condolences to my friend Mary and her family for their loss.

Dear Mrs. Frank and Marla, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear of Mr. Frank's passing. He was such a rare breed of man! His kindness and goodness to everyone he encountered will never be forgotten. I was never musically inclined, but loved it so much. He never said no to me when I showed up for chorus, and always found a place for me, so I could participate. I got my lifelong appreciation of music from him. He taught us all so much. His soft spoken kindness and his love of us all made us all realize that we could do anything we set our minds to. Music and Art were always the high point in my school experience! Thank you both for all that you have given me, and all of the hundreds, and maybe thousands, of kids that were lucky enough to have passed through your classes over the years! It was always a happy occasion when I would run into him at the market. He was ever encouraging and funny. His sense of humor was something I'll always remember. I think the last time I saw him to talk to was at your home during my brother's campaign. It was good to see you both happy and, as always, enjoying life (another lesson you both taught us). It was a good day and that is the way I choose to keep him in my heart.

Mary, Marla,Leslie, and children: I just now read of Bob's passing in the Post-Star and want y'all to know you are in my thoughts & prayers...when I began my French teaching career in 1974 at WCS, your family "took me under your wing" as a young, inexperienced 23 year old & offered me encouragement and friendship that I will never forget! And the fudge recipe you gave me I have been making for the past 42 years faithfully each Christmas to serve to family and friends! And now my 37 yr old son Marc just informed us he is getting married August 13, (The son I was 7 months pregnant with when we took the WCS French students to Quebec City!) and his fiancee and family will be introduced the fudge as well! I love you all and will be praying for you in the difficult days ahead. Respectfully, "Madame Kimmerly"
