Obituary of Eva H. Wilson

Brant Lake:
Eva Caroline (Hill) Wilson, 90, formerly of Brant Lake, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford. A resident since 2009, she made many friends playing Bingo and doing puzzles.
Born Aug. 10, 1924 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of Walter and Bertha (Fenn) Hill.
Eva graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1942. Upon completion as a Registered Nurse from St. Peters Hospital in Albany, she was employed as an Obstetric Nurse with the Glens Falls Hospital.
She married Robert E. Wilson in 1948 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Warrensburg.
She retired from nursing in 1986. She and her husband spent 15 wonderful years traveling and living in their Avion Travel Trailer, visiting all 50 states. They resided at Sun Air RV Park in Haines City, FL for 12 years. The couple returned each summer to Loon Lake to visit family and friends.
She was an active member of St. Mark’s Church in Haines City, FL, as well as a member of St. James in Fort Edward.
Eva was a longtime Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Adirondack Girl Scout Council.
She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert E. Wilson on May 25, 2006 and her sister, Jennie May Monroe and her husband, James.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Bennett of Tucson, AZ; her son, Robert Wilson and his wife, Cindy of Jordanville; grandchildren, Pamela Heil her husband, Christopher and sons, Jason and Shakoda of Queensbury, Scott Bennett his wife, Kara and their children, Matthew, Isabella and Michael of Queensbury, Susanne Wilson and her daughters, Jessica Wilson of Long Island and Kathleen Madison of Glens Falls, Andrew Wilson his fiance’, Chrissy and daughter Regan Lewis of Jordanville; great great- grandchildren, Haydon and Rosalee Heil and their mother, Tiffanie Ward of Queensbury; nephews, David Goodrich and his wife, Anita of Warrensburg, Donald Goodrich and his wife, Gail of Sabago Lake, ME; sisters in law, Ruth Ackermann of Malta, Nancy Harp and her husband, Eldrid of Brant Lake and Gertrude Wilson of Hudson Falls.
A memorial service to celebrate Eva’s life will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, October 29 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg with Fr. Robert Limpert officiating. Friends may gather with Eva’s family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Her earthly remains will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband following the service in the Warrensburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family would request donations to the Presbyterian Home, Stars in the night program, 4290 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413. Her family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you with much gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Presbyterian Home for their loving care of our mother.
