Daddy,
I will always remember......
Trips to Cody's, where you first taught me to shoot the 22, and where you and uncle Craig got fined by ENCON for cutting down trees, so we could see the pound better. I'll never forget when you lost your glasses in that pound and we couldn't go home until we found them because MOM would have killed you.
I'll always remember....
Going for rides all over the country side, just to go.
I'll always remember....
Riding on the front of your motorcycle because I was too small to hold on.
I'll always remember....
When you used to put Old Spice on me after you shaved because I loved the way it smelled.
I'll always remember....
Your off colored jokes that you were immortalized for.
I'll always remember...
When you use to play me the fiddle or the harmonica because it made me smile.
I'll always remember....
Scaring the shit out of the neighborhood boys because they brought me home too late.
I'll always remember...
coming home after a drunken night and sitting up with you and telling stories.
I'll always remember....
How much I loved being your little girl, and being so proud of the Daddy that bettered his relationship with me by quiting drinking at the age of 78.
I'll always remember....
How much I love you and look forward to the day that I'll hear your off colored jokes again.
I'll always remember you, Old Man. Please watch over me and know that I think of you always. I love you Daddy!

The first thing I thought of is how I can see his smile and hear his laugh and then I remember all the times working with him and the DKC crew. What memories. My daughters came to love him as much as I do. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy to all, in particular Margaret, Keith, Chris, and Marchelle.

I met Bob in the late 60's at Dizzy's where I would go square dancing every Friday & Saturday night. Drank my first legal beer there 40 years ago.
That tradition continued when the new log tavern was built.
He was always a friend to me. Many times I would stop while passing by if he was on the porch or mowing the lawn for a chat. He sure loved his John Deere. I will miss our conversations.

I wish sincere condolences to the Lanfear family on the passing of Bob. Whenever I stopped into the tavern for a cold beer, and a friendly smile, Bob could make me forget about life's problems with a tale of the good 'ol days racing down in Daytona or raising hell with Willy Massey! I'll miss him terribly but will take solace knowing that I have learned alot from "one of the great one's!"
