Obituary of Charles R. Reardon

Charles R. Reardon, 54, of North Creek, formerly of Stony Creek, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. He was born on December 10, 1952 at Station Hospital, Mitchell Field, NY, where his parents, Robert and Thelma (Soucy) Reardon were stationed during their Army careers. Chares was a 1969 graduate of North High School in Framingham, MA. Charles married young and had a daughter, Jessica. Mr. Reardon had many interests in his short life but especially his love of people whose friendships he would quickly harvest as if he had known them since birth. Charles had a great love of science and medicine, as well as an interest in aviation which always made for interesting and intelligent conversation. His specific Irish sense of humor was endearing and will remain memorable along with his strength and endurance to deal with whatever came down life’s path. Charles is survived by his father, Robert; his step-mother, Helen; an older sister, Kathleen Gonzales; older brother, Robert; younger brother, Kevin; and two younger sisters; Valerie Davitt and Lisa MacKenzie. It was Charles’ last wish to thank the North Country Ministry staff for their friendship and help over the years, High Peaks Hospice, especially Michelle and Steve and the staff of Glens Falls Hospital for their care and concern in his last days. Rest in Peace Chuck! You did not die alone as you had feared, but you will be missed by many who loved you, your family, your many friends in the North Country and beyond, especially your girls, Dottie, Vail and Caroline. A memorial service will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. Spring burial will take place at Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg.
