Obituary of Roger F. Millington

Roger F. Millington Jr., 55 of Thissel Rd., passed away suddenly, Saturday evening, November 12, 2005 at his home. Born December 11, 1949 in Chestertown, he was the son of the late Roger F. Sr. and Elenor (Bruno) Millington. Roger was a lifelong resident of the area and served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged with the rank of SP4. He liked working his scrap iron business and taking spur of the moment trips. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting landscapes on saw blades, talking on the C.B., painting cars and building on his property. Besides his parents, his brothers, Richard Millington Sr., Randy Millington and his infant sister, Hazel Millington have all predeceased him. Survivors include his wife, Laurie (Friday) Millington of Bakers Mills; his children, Eric Millington and his wife, Christine, Scotty Millington both of Florida, Keitan Millington and his wife, Saraha of North Creek, Derek Millington and his wife, Courtney of Queensbury, Keisha Cleveland and her husband, Andrew of Bakers Mills, Todd (TJ) Millington and Sheridan Millington both of Bakers Mills; his step children, Alonzo Conlon of Wevertown, Fabiann Conlon of North Creek, Brittany Shultz and Jamie Friday both of Chestertown; two sisters, Helena Carmel of Florida and Barbara Davis of Chestertown; five brothers, Ronald Sr. and Ricky of Florida, Robin, Rusty, and Rian of Glens Falls; several cousins and a very dear friend, Gary Ball of Queensbury. Friends may call on the family from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Wednesday at the Sodom Community Church with the Rev. Ron Allan, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg. Pallbearers will be Fabiann Conlon, Keitan Millington, Derek Millington and Andrew Cleveland.
