Obituary of Gail A. Morehouse

BOLTON LANDING: Gail Cooper Morehouse, 77, of Federal Hill Road passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord at The Warren Center in Queensbury on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 after a long illness. Born July 29, 1941 in Melrose, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Robert W. Cooper and Esther Webber Cooper. Gail graduated from The High School of Commerce in Springfield, Mass. in 1959. Gail married William R. Morehouse on December 22, 1974. Besides proudly raising her family, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing games on her computer, dining out, shopping, listening to her Gaither music and visiting with people. Gail absolutely loved celebrating family birthdays and holidays. She always looked forward to decorating her home and filling it with Christmas music. Growing up, Gail was an active member of the Wesley Methodist Church in Springfield, Mass. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Springfield Rainbow for Girls. After moving to Bolton Landing, Gail enjoyed many years of writing for the Adirondack Journal. She was currently a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Bolton Landing. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William R. Morehouse on November 8, 2012. Gail is survived by her children; Robin Lemise (Jerry Tew), Lori Breault (Steve), Kimberly Markham (Mike) and Bob Morehouse (Jennifer). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Mark Lemise Jr. (Nichole Carpenter), Anthony Lemise, Michael Ryder (Heather), Timothy Ryder, Nathan Breault, Danielle Breault (Jon Moon), Todd Markham (Brittney Bogardus), Lindsay Markham, Billy, Andy and Katie Morehouse. Gail is survived by her great-grandchildren; Sade, Bradley and Isabelle Maranville, Abbigail Ryder, A Spring arrival Baby Ryder, Annabella Moon and Fall arrival Jaxon Moon. Gail is survived by one brother, James R. Cooper (Carla) and their children Heather Klein, Todd Forward and their families. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. At Gail’s request, there will be no calling hours or service. At a later date, there will be a graveside service for family at Bolton Rural Cemetery. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks to The Warren Center of Queensbury and their warm, compassionate and caring staff. They would also like to thank Alexander Funeral Home for their kindness and comfort. A special thank you to Gail’s daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Steve Breault and Gail’s grandson, Timothy Ryder for opening their home to both Gail and Bill when their health wouldn’t allow them to live on their own.
