Glens Falls: Faith E. Smith, 71, of Division Street, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord, Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family following a long illness. Born June 1, 1939 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late John and Erma (Ogden) Carpenter. Faith was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and her animals, especially her beloved cat, Pooh Bear. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her granddaughter, Danielle Smith. She is survived by her sons: Raymond Smith and his wife, Sandy of Fort Edward; Daniel Smith of Hudson Falls; Edward Smith of TX; her daughter, Laura Smith of Glens Falls; her grandchildren: Dawn Smith and her companion, Jason Herrington of Glens Falls; Sandra Winney and her husband, Ron of Argyle; John Smith of Fort Edward; NancyAnn Smith of Ballston Spa; Jenny Smith of Ballston Spa; and Austin Ingoldsby of Jacksonville, FL; her great-grandson, Ronald Winney of Argyle; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Faith’s family from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted 11 am, Tuesday, December 21, at Pine Knolls Alliance Church, 614 Gansevoort Rd., S. Glens Falls with Rev. William Church, Pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association.
