Please share a memory of Christine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

DIAMOND POINT: Tina (Christine) Klami lost her long battle with Alzheimer's on Saturday November 9th, 2024. She was 75 years old.

Always a Jersey Girl at heart, Tina was born in Red Bank, raised in Union Beach and spent most of her life in Middletown, NJ. A middle school health and physical education teacher for nearly 30 years, she leaves a legacy of caring and love for all of those who knew her.

Although Tina has been battling for over a decade, she will be most remembered for what she loved and how she loved. Married to her husband Rod, 79 of Bolton, NY for 52 years, those years were spent with a combined love of camping, antiques and all things old. She found joy in many of life's simple pleasures. Whether it was watching a thunderstorm from her porch, the refreshing feel of a cold winter day, the quiet of a fresh snowfall or the sound of waves on a beach, she was at peace.

When surrounded by the giggles of her grandchildren (Logan 10 and Fiona 7), a mystery novel or the cuddles of a cat, she was full of nothing but love. A core part of her essence was to ensure that all those around her felt comfortable, were well fed, and to know they never had to be anything but themselves. Having not a mean bone in her body, she has a long list of friends and family who cared for her throughout her final years. A wonderful teacher, friend, Nana, wife and Mom whose memories will bring smiles for decades to come.

In addition to being a beloved wife to Rod, Tina, a mother of two, took great joy in giving her sons, Travis (married to Meghan), 47, of Albany, NY, and Gavin (married to Jessica), 41, of Menands, NY, all that she could throughout their lives. She was a loving sister to two wonderful brothers, Chris Steinberg (Sue) of Viera, FL, and Dennis Veltre (Nancy) of Brick, NJ, and a proud aunt to four: Tommy, Kathleen, Kevin, and Tim.

The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation and that you remember Tina on the first snowfall of each year.

A Celebration of Life service to occur in Spring 2025.
