Obituary of Betty Jane Fox

WARRENSBURG:  Betty Jane Fox, 89 years old, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 23, 2024.

Betty was born on November 14, 1934 in Johnsburg, NY to the late Charles “Ren” Lorenzo and Ethel (Galusha) Pasco.

Betty had a heart full of generosity and warmth. She cherished time with her family and always kept her door open for anyone in need, welcoming them as her own. Betty’s home was a haven for those seeking comfort, and she treated everyone like family. A passionate card player, Betty also had a love for sales, often attending and hosting yard sales. For 50 years, she proudly served as an Avon representative, in addition to working with many other sales ventures. She spent many years as a devoted caregiver for the elderly, always offering kindness and care.

Betty’s great sense of humor and vibrant spirit filled her life with colorful experiences and stories that she loved to share. One of her most treasured friendships began at a yard sale, where she met Alberta 'Bertie'—her best friend and partner in countless adventures.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her sisters Wanda Olden, Katheryn Ross, and Ally Shambo; her brother Raymond Pasco; her sons William Olden Jr. and Donald Olden; her husband’s William Olden and Richard Fox; and her beloved best friend, Alberta 'Bertie' Bert.

Carrying on her memory and legacy are her sons Charles (Dorothy) Olden, Douglas (Wanda) Olden, and Richard Fox Jr.; her daughters Cheryl Martin and Tina (Richard) Fox Curren, all of Warrensburg; along with 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren

Family and friends are welcome to attend Betty’s celebration of life on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from Noon – 3pm, at 258 River Street, Warrensburg, NY.
