Obituary of Jared Nelson Dunkley

HAMPTON/BAKERS MILLS: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Jared N. Dunkley on June 4th, 2024 at the age of 46.

Jared was born September 10, 1977 in Glens Falls, NY to Lawrence and Vanessa (Gonyo) Dunkley.

Jared was a graduate of Minerva Central School, class of 1997. Following his graduation, he joined the Army National Guard, where he served with distinction. Jared was deployed to New York City after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and later took part in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Jared spent many joyful years with his beloved life companion, Debbie Frey, and his loyal PTSD dog, Nick. He found peace and happiness in raising rabbits, watching wildlife at his home, and spending quality time with his nephew Aaron Dunkley and his friends.

Jared is survived by his life partner, Debbie Frey; his parents, Lawrence and Vanessa Dunkley; his brother, Brad Dunkley, and sister-in-law, Jennifer Dunkley; and his nephews, Aaron, Gavin, and Kaden. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Friends may call on Jared’s family from 3pm – 5pm, Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A memorial service will be held at 5pm with Rev. Ron Allen officiating.
