MINERVA: Shana Fonda-Ruane, 54 years young, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 24, 2024.

Shana was born on October 22, 1969 in Albany, NY to the late Mark and Jacqueline (Wood) Fonda.

She achieved her GED in 2002, a milestone of which she held immense pride. Her professional journey includes roles in phone sales with the Cleveland Police Patrolman’s Association in Cleveland, OH, and Warrensburg Lake George News & Adirondack Journal, as well as serving as a veterinary secretary/assistant to Dr. Silvestri in Warrensburg, NY.

In her leisure time, Shana had a deep affection for animals and partaking in activities such as nail art, makeup, and hairstyling. She had a passion for jewelry, enjoyed engaging in diamond art projects, and entertaining others with limericks, riddles, and jokes.

Many have gone before her but those dearest to her heart were her parents, paternal grandmother Ruth Jesse Carhart Fonda, and significant other Terri A. Runewicz.

Left to cherish her memory is her spouse Jospeh Ruane, daughters Darian (Brandon) Feiden, Malyssa (Jordan Charbonneau) Fonda and Emily (Nick Washburn) Fonda all from the Adirondacks; sister Shannon (Kelly Fuller) Fonda of Whitehall, NY; nieces Brianne (Charles Canon) Fuller of Newcomb, NY and Megan (Jerrid Tucker) of Johnsburg, NY; nephew Cole (Amber) Fuller of Whitehall, NY and her beloved pets Minnie and Pooh.
