Obituary of Corinna Leigh Russell

Olmstedville:

Corinna Leigh (Smith) Russell, 54, Olmstedville, passed from this earth, surrounded by family and her significant other of 13 yrs, Kyle Hitchcock, on December 13, 2023.

Corinna was born in Glens Falls Hospital on June 22, 1969, daughter to (Jean) Roxanne (Jones) Smith and Gary Lee Smith.

Corinna worked in several areas of public service including waitressing, bartending, housekeeping and as a private B&B Hostess. She also served for several years in the Fire Police for the Garnet Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. in Garnet Lake. Her greatest non-human loves were animals, (especially dogs, cats, horses, butterflies, and ducks), music, dancing, camping, waterfalls and gardening.

Corinna was predeceased by her 17 month old daughter, Chelsea Lynn Britton in 1996, and her dad, Gary L. Smith in 2011.

She leaves her mom, (Jean) Roxanne Jones of Warrensburg, her significant other, Kyle Hitchcock of Olmstedville, her daughters, Crystal, Cassandra and Cheyenne, her sister, Sky Smith of Indiana, her “brother of the heart”; Badger K. Holleway of Scotland, her precious dog, Mischief and her mom's cat, Boo, who she loved and referred to as "my little baby brother" and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives as well as countless friends.

Friends may call on Corinna’s family from 10 to 11 am, Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will immediately follow at 11 am and will be conducted by her uncle, Father Sherman W. Gray of Southbury, CT. Flower arrangements may be sent to Alexander's... address noted above.
