Obituary of Stephen L. Engle

Warrensburg:

Stephen L. “Steve” Engle, 74, of Stacy Street, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 9, 1949 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Calvin and Jeanette (Henry) Engle.

He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Warrensburg Central School. Following his high school graduation, Steve attended Murray State College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in business management.

Besides spending time with his family, Steve loved to play golf at Cronin’s as well as play the ponies through OTB. He was always singing, whistling, telling a good joke, and his belief was “Life is good!”

He was liked by all, loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Engle; his daughters, Renee Armstrong and her husband, Chad and Charlotte Hill and her husband, Paul; and brother, Brian Engle and his wife, Donna.

At Steve’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
