Obituary of Alice H. Parent

WARRENSBURG:

 

Alice (Harvey) Parent of Warrensburg, NY passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023 at the age of 96.

 

Alice came into this world on January 20, 1927 in Indian Lake, NY to the late Forest and Irene (Davis) Harvey. She spent her years growing up in North River, NY.

 

Alice, the beloved wife of the late Clarence “Pat” Parent, who passed away 39 years ago, dedicated many years of her life as a caregiver at Wilton Developmental Center.  Following her retirement, she embraced an active lifestyle, traveling extensively with friends.  A devoted daughter, sister, wife, and grandmother, Alice’s enduring love for her family defined her life.  Her passion for spending quality time with loved ones was evident throughout her long and joyful life.  Alice felt truly fortunate to have shared abundant moments of love and laughter with family and friends, making her time on this earth exceptionally meaningful.

 

Besides her parents and husband, Alice has been reunited with her daughter Barbara Mckee and son Dwane Parent whom she has missed so very much; sisters Patty Harvey, Londa Kenyon, Thelma McConnell, and Bobbi Jo Stetson; brother Robert Harvey…who all referred to her lovingly as Allie.

 

Alice is survived by her sons Robert (Terry) Parent and Bruce (Shirley) Parent as well as grandchildren Vicki (John) Hunter, Tami (David) Fields, Allison Parent and Jennifer Parent as well as her beloved sister Helen Lawrence; great grandchildren Christopher Parent, Ethan Bombard, Anthony Fields, Chloe Mills, Jackson Maclaren, Casey Hunter and Joe Hunter.

 

Instead of services, Alice would rather be remembered for her rich and extraordinary life, placing importance on the cherished family gatherings and celebrations she shared with those she held dear.
