Oh Tom, I don’t know why I Googled Bonnie’s name to find her and connect. She was at one time my wonderful therapist who after I “ graduated “ became a lively and lovely friend. I was married to steve Hecht ( cpc remember?) and she and I and another therapist went to Ludlow Vermont to lose weight haha as always!after you folks had a big dinner at my home! ! I’m so sad for your loss! Thinking of you! Susan Riskin ( now with white hair!!)

Bonnie was my lifelong friend for 70 years. We met in Summit Junior High, spent time with each other's families, attended Elmira College together, and shared most of the milestones of our lives-weddings, birth of sons, losses. In recent years, we enjoyed many wonderful get togethers with our husbands in the Adirondacks, Sarasota Springs, and Bradenton. We had a dynamic relationship-one which was strong enough to survive disagreements. She was my number one cheerleader. I've never known anyone who loved her friends more than Bonnie or was a better advocate for the young people she worked with. She was like a sister to me. Her passing has left a huge gap in my life.

Bonnie and I met just recently when we both moved to the easy life at Galloway Ridge. We found we were simpatico right away bonding over similar life passages. She led me to consider alternative and unique perspectives on many issues both past and present. I was pleased she could spend her final months with family and long term friends at her beloved lake home. I consider her a close friend forever.

Bonnie was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I considered her my “big sister”, friend, and neighbor in North River. We shared the passion of our social work vocation and many stories of our experiences, affirming our care and concern for those who needed our professional skills and compassion. I am blessed with precious memories of Bonnie and will carry them with me as I continue to hold her in my heart. I learned from Bonnie that spending time with a dear friend is the best medicine for the soul.

Bonnie was my beloved sister. She was my sister-in-law to begin with. Over the twenty some years we spent most of our holidays together. She was always there to help and support me no matter what. We became very close just as sisters! I admire her insights in many difficult life problems and the strength of calmly facing life and death issues. I will forever miss her – my dear sister! Joann Gu

Bonnie and I were best friends for over 50 years. We worked together, raised our children together and shared every aspect of our lives. It was the most special of relationships and we both talked about how lucky we were to have found each other. We talked until the very end sharing our thoughts and feelings until she could no longer talk. It is one of the great losses of my life that she is no longer a part of it. I know I will never have another best friend like her.

We have known Bonnie and Tom since 1968 when we arrived in New Jersey from Michigan State University having completed our graduate studies. Just like the Ludlows, we were both in the mental health field. Fifty-five years is a long time. And fortunately, we remained in Monmouth County for years. Thus, we often saw each other for many different social occasions. We often shared our views of life and its meaning. If you knew Bonnie, you knew she would not want to be superficial. We will miss those times very much. It is difficult to believe that she has passed, but she will live in our memories and thoughts forever. She will continue to live there.
