I recognized Danny’s voice on the telephone after years and years of absence: so wonderfully characteristic. I was soooo happy to hear from him.

I remember Dan from my beer-selling days, I called
on their little store in Bolton.
I did some signs for his masonry business, as well.
A real nice guy, and a real nice family.
Please accept my condolences to the whole
family.
Sincerely, 'Jungle' Jim Mosher

Dan,
You had hoped I’d be born on your birthday, but I ended up being born two days before that. Fifty-four years later though, my granddaughter, Louisa was born on your birthday. I made the call to you and Ronnie that morning and said “You waited fifty years, but you got your girl.”
I remember you taking me to the arcades in Lake George Village when I was only three years old. It’s funny that I remember that from so many years ago.
I also remember you and Ronnie being there at the Family Farm in Kensington when my Mom died when I was fifteen; helping my Dad (Uncle Russell) dig potatoes and helping with anything else that needed to be done. I remember always looking forward to your, Ronnie, Annie, and Barry’s summer visits to Hampton Beach when you would stay with us at the Farm and let me tag along with you all to the beach. That is until you bought your sailboat. After that, I, and later, I and my own family started making our yearly visits to Bolton Landing instead. I know my son John will forever remember you as “Great Great Dan”.
I will miss our talks on the phone. You were always there to lend an ear when I needed one. I will think of you every time I start my Cub Cadet and push the lever “all the way up” in order to start it. Thank you for figuring that out; both for yourself and for me.
I am so glad that Annie and I went out to visit you and Sandy in Michigan; and that we were able to have a wonderful visit together this Memorial Day Weekend.
I have so many wonderful memories to cherish. I will miss you forever.
Love,
Charlotte

I love and miss you so much Grandpa. I have so many great memories with you that I will treasure forever. I really enjoyed coming to yours and Grandma’s house during the holidays. I also really enjoyed coming to see you at yours and Sandy’s place in Everglade city. You always knew how to make me laugh. Grandpa, I really loved your personality. I’m truly heartbroken that you are gone, but at least you’re not sick anymore. I know that you are in heaven with Grandma now and our other family members that have already passed away. Rest in peace Grandpa. I will see you again one day in heaven.

I am so grateful for the time I had with you and grandma after college, you both made big impacts in my life, my work ethic, and your humor and friendship all the years after her passing brought me such joy and stability. For the last 12 years you were often my first call when celebrating or frustrated. You inspired my love for kayaking and for enjoying quiet moments in nature. I miss you dearly and hold onto all the stories, memories, and more recent joy of seeing you with my girls. It will never be the same, but I am forever changed by you, and am glad to have had you in my life ❤️ I will miss being called Amykins and all your shenanigans.

I remember him as being funny, he made me laugh. He was a good father, he alway let me and Annie do what we wanted when I stayed there. You could tell he loved his family and they were the most important thing in his life.
