Our sincere condolences, from Stanley and Steve Huchro, It was been an extremely sad couple of weeks, my Father Stanley passed away September 21st. We first meet Tom via our cousin Ralph Simpson, some 40 plus years ago hunting at Sharp Bridge. He was a great friend and teacher to me as I had just started hunting. His camp was rustic and comfortable. Tom was able to attended my father's 90th B-Day party some 3 years ago and the he shot a Bear story continued. Yes, Tom shot a bear some 5 miles back into Adirondacks and it took us two days to drag it out May the lord give him peace and provide comfort to the you.

Tom was a character, and a friend. I will miss our weekly chats which usually occurred through vehicle windows in front of my house or as we passed on Ernest Smith road while he was coming or going from his daily camp checks. I wish he had given me a few more details about his old hunting spots in Carpenter Hollow or Park Mountain and I will think of him when I’m wandering around in there trying to figure thing s out. Our thoughts go out to his entire family in this sad time.

Swanny was a great man. He guided me in my younger years and helped me grow into the person I am and I thank him for that. He became a true friend and always made an effort to attend our Annual Holiday party.Rest in peace my friend. Say HI to dad, you two can protect the hill from the other side now. Tee and Ree, my thoughts are with you. Your dad was an inspiration to all who knew him.

My sincerest condolences to the Swan Family. Tom was the best shop teacher ever, he had a great way of teaching and helping..Out of school we may have shared a beer or two, and alot of laughs. It saddens me that he is gone but not forgotten. I know he shared his skills with so many young minds and he certainly made an impression on me. Rest In Paradise Mr. Tom Swan..
