Obituary of Jean M. Rumble

Warrensburg: Jean M. Rumble, 67, of River Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 10, 1952 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late W. Earle and L. Ethel (Gransbury) Dingman. On October 1, 1977 she married John Rumble. John passed away on January 25, 2003. Jean was a housewife and enjoyed helping when and where ever she could. Jean was active in the Free Methodist Church of Warrensburg. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her two sisters, Wanda Williams and Doris Towers. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy (Timothy) Arnold and the love of her life, her grandson, John E. Arnold and “GiGi’s” favorite grand-dog, Zoey, all of Thurman. A sister, Julia M. Rounds of Warrensburg, and special nieces, Lori Dayton, Robin Champagne, Kim Straight, and Roger Hightower (Tammy), whom she thought of as a son. Step grandchildren, Jadee Kohler of Leeds and Joe (Patti) Arnold of Thurman. Her church family and special friends, Anne, Katie, Heather, Joanne, Joyce, Nancy, and Claire, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. The pall bearers are, John E. Arnold, Joe Arnold, Roger Hightower, her “prom date,” Cole Lanfear, Joe Barrow and Richie Bailey. Friends may call on Jeans family from 12 to 1 pm on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow visitation at 1 pm with Nancy Barrow, Pastor of the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church, officiating. Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband, John in Warrensburg Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Free Methodist Church of Warrensburg, in Jean’s memory.
