Dottie, Thad, Amy and family, I was so very saddened to learn this news about Hank. The JCS Community has lost a well loved member. I was just looking at a video of our “We Don’t Have to Go Back to School” breakfast. All of us “Oldie but Goodies” were smiling broadly. Hank was there enjoying our annual gathering as well. Fond memories brought a smile to my face. Sending love and prayers your way that you will be flooded with your own fond memories.

To Mr. Osterhouts Family, my heart goes out to you over your loss. Hank was a great teacher who gave many students a unique take on his classes. I still have those flowers that Thomas & Michael brought home.

My heartfelt and deepest sympathy is with Hank's family and loved ones. He was a great man whose sense of humor, talents, and kindness were appreciated by many of us. He was truly admired by his students and will be missed by many of us. May our Lord continue to embrace, comfort, and bless his family. Rest in peace, Hank. With deepest sympathy and prayers, Mary McSweeney

Dottie and family, Bear was a great teacher, a great coach, and a pillar of JCS. I remember playing under Bear and one day during basketball practice, broke my two front teeth on the gym floor while wrestling for the ball with another player. Embarrassed and without pain I chose to play on. But Bear picked up on it, inspected us both and brought that nonsense to a halt. One of the truly formative leaders I have had in my life. I'm so grateful for having had that.

Mrs. Osterhout, Thad, Amy and families,
My thoughts are with you and your loved ones. Just the other day I explained to my son who is not liking Social Studies that I had an amazing teacher that met with me in the evenings to help pass the regents exam. He was a great teacher and coach and touched so many of us with his passion for helping us all. May you find comfort in all the people he has touched.
