Tamara A. Conklin, 63, of Valley Road, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 16, 2021 at Halifax Trauma Center in Daytona, FL after suffering a stroke.
Born October 26, 1957 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of Sharkey A. Baker and the late Jasmine (Kenyon) Baker.
Tamara was a lifelong resident who loved to travel and was loved by everyone she met. She also owned her own business, Tamara Consulting.
Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed going to casinos, visiting with friends, and playing with her dogs, Tunny and Oscar.
Besides her father, she is survived by her sons, Jaired Conklin and his wife, Ginette of CA and Garrett Conklin and his companion, Carrie of CA; her siblings, Craig Baker and Diedre of Athol, Wendi and Gene Baird of Warrensburg and Bob Conklin of FL; grandchildren, Samarah, Sharkey, Jacalyn, and Jacob as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Tamara’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled.
A memorial gathering will take place at 1 pm, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Ashes Bar and Grill, 85 Hudson St., Warrensburg. Please feel free to bring a dish and a memory to share.
