Please accept Diane and My condolences. Rusty was the first person I met when we moved to Warrensburg in 2001. He had a soft way about him and I considered him a good friend. I will greatly miss the quiet way he drove his truck past homes in the morning, the gentle wave no matter where he saw you and the comments that he was famous for "what are doin? Watching the grass grow?" He was man that commanded respect and he would also give it if earned. Good bye my friend

Jim and I were so shocked and saddened to hear of Rusty’s passing. We might have met him only a few times, but his mother-in-law Sally, Donna and Diane have been a part of our family in Bolton Landing for many years. It has been such a difficult year for so many of us, but Donna, we know you have had a really tough year. Our deepest sympathies to the entire family.
Regards,
Jeanne Defliese and Jim Huck

Our condolences go out to Doug the entire Duell family in this time of loss. Rusty was a character and a good man From my coffee days at Bills Diner to wherever I ran into him he seemed to always have a smile or a grin in his face. I don’t think there is a local road anywhere that he and his trucks haven’t traveled at some point. (Sometimes a little overloaded sometimes not.) I will miss seeing him pass by,
Kibby and Michele French

Just last week Rusty was up at Peackhams Chestertown plant for a couple loads of stone and he would usually say "you did a good job" when we hit his targeted weight. (Going to miss hearing him say that). Anyone who knew Rusty, knows he was a good man, and a hard working man all of his life right ro the end. And I'd like too say to Rusty, "you did a good job" may you rest in peace my friend. My condolences to Rusty's family. ❤

We are truly saddened to learn about the passing of Rusty Duell. I was introduced to the Duell family through little league baseball (Duell’s Loggers), where Rusty was one of my first baseball coaches. Rusty was soft spoken but meant business. I will always remember his laugh and how much of a hard worker he was. Rusty always seemed proud of his 3 young men and provided them with love and support. I respected and appreciated the feedback and guidance Rusty also gave me growing up as as a friend of the family. In addition, I appreciated the friendships with Doug, Dave and Darren as we grew up playing sports and building forts in the back yards. We also played some epic chase games( hide and seek )in the neighborhood. We grew up boys being boys. At the center of it all was Donna. She managed Rusty as well as the rest of us to make sure nobody got out of control. She is a soft but strong leader of the family.
We send thoughts and prayers to the entire Duell family. We are so very sorry for your loss. May you find peace during this difficult time.
