Through his time at YMCA Silver Bay Association and his tenure at FOR, I had the blessing of knowing Mark. He was a soul awakened to grace, who devoted his life to improving our world. His commitment to peace was clear not only in his vocational choices but in his own demeanor. Such a sad, sad loss. Now he is in the company of saints.

Mark’s strong commitment to the positive impact of international involvement and exchange was part of his life. Mark was a person who made a difference, locally, nationally and internationally. Thank you, Mark. We will miss you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mark for nearly 40 years through the YMCA. Our best to the family.
A wonderful, thoughtful, intellectual thinker who backed up his thoughts and philosophy with action.
Most recently, we worked together at the YMCA of the USA and The Rotary Club of Chicago (ROTARY/One).
May Mark's work continue.
Sincerely,
Dave

Mark demonstrated a remarkable mind that elevated conversation and exchange of ideas to a much higher level of human understanding and aspiration. While his influence prevails, we shall miss his contribution to the silence on critical issues facing civilization.
