Johnsburg: Kenneth K. Hopkins Sr., of North Creek, passed away suddenly at Albany Medical Center on August 18, 2020 at the age of 74. Born in Johnsburg on May 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Thomas Hopkins Sr. and Tressa (Harrington) Hopkins. Ken married the love of his life, Donna Lynn Greenwood on July 27, 1968. They shared 45 amazing years together before Donna’s passing on November 9, 2013. He loved the outdoors, especially, gardening. Ken will also be remembered for his deep love of family and tradition, which included his annual Christmas donuts. He greatly enjoyed the many hours and days spent with his beloved grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Terry and Bill Hopkins. Left to cherish his memory is a brother, Thomas E. Hopkins Jr. of North Carolina. His sons, Kenneth Hopkins Jr. and his wife Catrina (Frisbie) of North Creek, Robert Hopkins and his wife, Crystal (Germain) of Johnstown, and William Hopkins of Minerva. Seven grandchildren, Brandon, Nathaniel, Colton Hopkins, of North Creek. Briana (Kennedy) Bruseck, Joshua, and Shannon Hopkins of Johnstown, and Laura Mae Hopkins of Minerva. Two great grandchildren, Mary Putnam and Skylar Hopkins of Cambridge as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 11 am, Friday, August 28, 2020 in the Garnet Lake Wesleyan Cemetery, Garnet Lake Road, Johnsburg.
