Our heartfelt sympathy and love to family left behind for now- Betty is in a better place but we will all miss her loving, pure, Godly spirit, sense of humor wit, and zest for life. She touched us all with her love and kindness.

Betty and I met at the Cedars in Queensbury sometime around 2010. For many years, we both enjoyed playing cards and scrabble at her apartment. I found her to be very gracious (as well as humble) in offering her hospitality. It was a joy to have known her!
I am sure that she is with the Lord...”May the Lord look upon her with kindness and grant her His Peace”...

Betty was such a lovely, caring lady with a wonderful laugh. I saw how dedicated she was to her husband before he passed away and then had the privilege of continuing to know Betty when she came to live at The Stanton. My sincere condolences to Sharon, Bonnie, and all her family.

I have always cherished my friendship with the Hitchcock family. What I will remember most is Betty's sense of humor, which seemed to carry over to John, Bonnie, and Sharon. Bathroom door at the old house. Need I say more? That will always be a favorite memory. So glad I have had a chance to know Betty and this family. I'm sorry I can't attend the Memorial Service, but I’ll be thinking of you all.

I met Betty when she was a roommate of my Aunt Grace. She was such a positive and forgiving woman who I enjoyed visiting with each time I visited my aunt. I pray that God will surround her family with His love and strength as they go through their grief for she will be surely missed by many.

It was our privilege to call Betty a friend. Her positive outlook on life was contagious and even time we visited her we left as better people. I am so thankful that Betty befriended my mother when she went to live at the nursing home. Betty’s positive outlook and a shared faith in Jesus Christ made my Mom’s life at the Stanton better. During that time my husband and I enjoyed many lively pinochle games and became real friends with Betty. We continued the games and friendship right up to her passing. We look forward to seeing her again someday on the other side. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of Betty’s family and friends. she was a special person who will be missed by many. love and prayers, Judy and Jerry Lloyd

Condolences to Betty's family/friends,
I cherish the memory of having Betty as my friend in Jesus. She had a welcoming spirit whenever I visited her at the nursing home....whether it be to play pinochle or to chat about religion. Betty inspired me to keep on forging ahead, despite obstacles/hurdles which arise along life's path. When I recently visited her at the hospital, as I was leaving, she said: "I'll see you in heaven." :)

Today I woke up and realized I no longer have an aunt Betty but what I do have is a new gardian angle Elizabeth since god probably has his helpers go by their given names, I can still talk to her at any time and then share a slightly off color joke occasionally but I’m anxious to observe the next thunder storm as I suspect the thundEr will be the results of the Carlson sisters laughter,I suspect that god himself will have to fight to keep a straight face !
