Obituary of Treena L. Cleveland

Lake George/Gansevoort: Treena L. Cleveland, 89, formerly of Lake George and Gansevoort, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs surrounded by her loving family. Born January 6, 1921 in Chestertown, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Ethel (Searles) Frasier. She married Arnold Z. Cleveland on February 14, 1939 and the couple resided in Lake George until Arnold’s passing on January 24, 1966. Treena worked as a chambermaid in Lake George, as well as 16 years of service at the Glens Falls Hospital in the housekeeping department. She also worked for U.S. Catheter for five years before her retirement. When she wasn’t spending time with her family or friends, Treena enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and needlework. Her nieces and nephews considered her their favorite aunt. She lived with her niece, Beverly Schmeelke in Gansevoort for several years. Besides her parents and her beloved husband of 26 years, Arnold, she is predeceased by her sister, Anne Moulton, and brother’s, Lewis and Irvin Frasier. She is survived by her niece, Beverly Schmeelke and her husband, Helmut (Red) of Gansevoort; niece, Shirley Harrington of Corinth, nephew, Roy Moulton and his wife, Rose of Queensbury, niece, Edna Baird of Hawaii, niece, Linda Baldwin and her husband, Michael of Witherbee, nephew, Lewis Frasier of Maine and special great niece, Michelle Baldwin of Witherbee along with several additional nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Treena’s family from 6-8pm Wednesday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the North River Cemetery.
