Obituary of Beryl E. Houseworth

Warrensburg: Beryl E. Houseworth 79, of Main Street, passed away, Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Adirondack Tri-County Health and Rehabilitation Facility in North Creek following a long illness. Born September 18, 1931 in Hubbardton, Vermont, Beryl was the daughter of the late Harry and Beaulah (Donor) Houseworth. She attended school in Quaker Springs. She cleaned many homes in the Warrensburg area and worked at the Warrensburg Laundry & Dry Cleaning from 1985-2007. She attended the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed listening to country music, doing liquid embroidery, puzzles and cooking for people. Besides her parents, her four sisters; Elizabeth Dingman, Beaulah Houseworth, Romona McCarthy, Laura Hudson and four brothers; Richard, Harry, Roger and Herman have all predeceased her. Surviving are her son, David Houseworth and his wife, Rebecca and one grandson, Scott Houseworth all of Illinois. Two sisters, Beverly Houseworth of Bloomingburg and Dawn Fuller of Mechanicville. Three brothers Larry of Waterviliet, Bruce of Hudson Falls and Warren of Waterviliet and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Beryl’s family from 6-8 pm Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted 11 am Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Dufford officiating. Burial will be in the Warrensburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a memorial trust in Beryl’s name at any TD Bank location to help her family defray expenses.
