Obituary of Ruth E. Schreck

Brant Lake: Ruth E. Schreck, 81, formerly of Beaver Pond Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Pines at Glens Falls. Born February 12, 1929 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edna (Weiss) Brauchler. Ruth married the love of her life, Stephen on June 7, 1952. While residing Long Island, the couple attended the Ridgewood Pentecostal Church in Brooklyn and the Bethel Assembly of God in Franklin Square. They retired to Brant Lake and have been attending the Northway Community Wesleyan Church in Chestertown. Besides her parents, her best friend and sister, Dorothea Sears also predeceased her. In addition to her beloved husband of 58 years, Ruth also leaves behind, her children, Roger Schreck and his wife, Rita of Franklin Square, Debra Aydinian and her husband, Gregory of Rotterdam, Barbara Schreck and her companion, Harold Kissling of West Hempstead; her cherished grandchildren, Justin Aydinian, Melissa Pulice, Elizabeth Schreck, Susan Pearson, Philip and Michelle Aydinian, Stephanie Dempsey, Ashley Schreck and Brian Kissling; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Ruth’s family from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday, September 14 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted 11 am Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin Waldvogel, Pastor of the Ridgewood Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will follow in North Brant Lake Cemetery. Her family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Pines for their care of Ruth, especially Joan Hoy and Emily.
