Irmtraud Roche passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the age of 64, at Glens Falls Hospital, following a 17 month battle with lung cancer.
Born July 24, 1941 in Bremen, Germany, she was the daughter of Heinrich and Anita Mahlstedt.
She married Peter J. Roche in 1962. They were married for nearly 24 years when he passed away on December 5, 1985.
Irmtraud worked for over 20 years at Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco. She moved to Lake Worth, Florida in 2000 and continued working till her early retirement in October 2004 to begin cancer treatments.
Mrs. Roche is survived by her two daughters, Marlene Delongis, her husband Joseph and their children Peter and Camille of Athol and Tamara Wade, her husband Edward and their children Jessica and Erin of Wingdale; and two sisters Wilfriede Coldewey and Klarchen Ahrens-Richter of Germany.
A memorial service and celebration of Irmtraud’s life will be held on Saturday January 14, 2006 at 1:00pm at the Lutheran Church of Christ the King, Route 22, Pawling. Burial will follow at South Dover Cemetery, Wingdale.
