I AM STUNNED. i DID NOT REALIZE THAT MY AUNT ROSIE HAD PASSED AWAY. BEING separated FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS, I DON'T GET TOO MUCH NEWS. I LOVED AUNT ROSIE, AND ENJOYED VISITING HER AND UNCLE GIB ON THE FARM. THOUGH WE DIDN'T ALWAYS FIND TIME TO VISIT, I HOPE SHE KNOWS THAT I CARED FOR HER VERY MUCH, AND LOVED HER.
TO MY UNCLE GIB AND ALL OF MY COUSINS....LOVE YOU ALL AND MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY....LOOKING FORWARD TO THE DAY THAT I CAN RETURN HOME.....YOU REALLY LOST A TOUGH LADY THAT MADE YOU ALL STRONG...BE GRATEFUL FOR THAT

Dear Gibb and Family,
I want you all to know how truly
sorry I was to hear of Rosies's
passing. I have many wonderful memories of her at the farm. She was a wonderful cook and I really enjoyed watching her make the most delicious pies especially around the holidays. I remember the day she taught me to make butter with the cream from the cow's milk. I remember one day after Mike had died and we just sat quietly barely talking she held my hand and placed her hand on my swollen stomack (I was about 7 months pregnant) and then she looked at me with so much love that it brought tears to my eyes. No words were said but I knew that she loved me. She was there for me when I needed her the most and I will never forget all the things she did to make the most difficult time of my life better.
She has finally been reunited with her son. I hope that she is having a nice visit with my Mom.
I feel that I am a better person for having known her. I loved her.
My heartfelt sympathy is extended to all of you.
Love, Talia

Rosalie was a super great lady. I loved going to Hollahans to eat often and she sure was a super cook. She was always so friendly and a great greeter. She sure will be missed by everyone. God Bless you all in this time of sorrow.

Rosie meant so very much to me and changed my life. I worked with her at Z-Place and one day she said to me (about going to college).."Someday you will wake up and it will be too late". Shortly thereafter, as a result of her warning, I started school and am now finishing my Master's degree in Nursing, and am the Chief Nursing Officer at a hospital. All thanks to her.
Her great wisdom and fortitude drove me to succeed, and I am indebted to her.
I remember assisting her in getting a stubborn young bull into the barn! She would also bring me "real milk" as she knew I hated the store-bought stuff.
Her memory will always be with me. Her last Christmas card meant more than I can say. She was the down-to-earth, wise and forthright woman I wish I could be. Whenever I felt a bit lowly she would say to me, "I don't see anybody here I like any better than myself!". She taught me so much and gave me strength in trying times. She will always be with me. She was my second Mom. I will always love, cherish and respect her.
My most sincere and heart felt condolences to her family and other friends. Through you she lives on always. I think of myself as one of Rosie's successes, as I know, too, are you.
God bless you all abundantly with hope, grace and comfort.
