Leila F. Fuller Wood, 99 of Mud Street, went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 24, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 8, 1918 on Quarry Crossing in Hudson Falls. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel Langworthy – Fuller. Leila was a lifelong resident of Warrensburg and Athol.
She graduated from Warrensburg Central School. Leila married Jack Wood on September 6, 1937, with Rev. Curran officiating. They were married for 55 years.
Besides raising her family of girls, she worked for the Shirt Factory and the Pulp Mill, located in Warrensburg. She was also very active in Genealogy.
She was a member of the Daughters of America, the Cemetery committee, and the Historical Society, of Thurman.
Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by one sister, Mildred Burch and her husband, Ralph. Brothers, Earl Fuller, Leon Fuller and his wife, Freda and one great niece, Shelly.
Leila has 6 daughters, who she devoted her life, Aileen, Wanda, Jackie, Bon (Dale), Cheryl, and her husband Howard, Robin and her husband Mike.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Cody, Matt (Evangeline), Howard (Christine), Jodi, Erin, Shana, Shannon, Richard, Brian, Taryn, Tracy, Jack, Tom, Crystal, Tim, Kim, and Kelly. Leila also has Great Grandchildren and 20 Great, Great Grandchildren. A brother, Archie Fuller and his wife, Vi and a sister in law, Carol Fuller.
A celebration of Leila’s life will be announced at a future date for the convenience of the family.
