South Glens Falls:
Wendy S. Pratt, 46, formerly of Warrensburg, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Albany Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Born July 6, 1969 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Barbara (Pratt) Holden of Queensbury, and the late Donald Holden.
Wendy attended Lake George Central School before graduating from Warrensburg High School.
Wendy’s love for her community led her to become involved in the local fire company, her membership in the South Glens Falls Ladies Auxiliary was something she was incredibly proud of and spoke of often. She had a true affinity of cats, owning many in her lifetime; each one loved with all she had. This was the norm for Wendy, she loved with her whole heart.
She was employed as a bus monitor for the South Glens Falls School District, as well as working as a home health aide; both allowed for Wendy to care for others, something that brought her great gratification.
In addition to her mother, Wendy leaves behind her beloved daughter, Kimberly Pratt of Eustis, FL and formerly of South Glens Falls, and her life partner and best friend, James Van Scoy of South Glens Falls, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Friends may call on Wendy’s family from 3 to 4 pm, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate her beautiful life will immediately follow the visitation at 4 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Stephen Andrews, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Wendy’s memory to the South Glens Falls Fire Company.
