Louise F. Hall, 91, of Warren Street, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 16, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born August 13, 1924 in Thurman, she was the daughter of the late George W., Sr. and Aileen (Ross) Sprague.
Louise spent much of her time giving back to her community; she worked at the Warren County Meal site for many years, babysat most every child in the Warrensburg area. She was Scout Master for Pack 31 for 30 plus years and was awarded Citizen of the Year in 1990, as well as the Silver Beaver Award, which is the highest Cub Scout honor. Louise taught Sunday school at the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church for over 30 years, and eventually started a preschool program at the church.
She married Frederick C. Hall in September of 1944 spent 45 years together before his untimely passing in 1990.
Louise enjoyed riding her bicycle, and could often be seen around town.
In addition to her parents, and beloved husband, Louise was predeceased by two sons, Ronnie and Terry Hall, and nephew, George W. Sprague, III, niece Becky Greenwood, sister-in-law, Elaine Sprague, and sister, Barbara Ward.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Cummins and her husband, Michael, of Diamond Point, and Robbie Hall of Warrensburg; grandchildren, Nolan (Melissa) Tucker, and Ashlee (Tony) Olivas, Corey (Brenda) Hall, Darren (Debbie) Hall, Baron (Kristen) Hall, and Philip (Jessica) Hall; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; step-grandchildren, Betsy Chandler (Ro), and Daniel (Callie) and Derek (Trudy) Cummins; daughter-in-law, Claudia Hall; brother, George W. Sprague, Jr.; sister, Beverly Sullivan. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, including Adorna, Ed, Patsy and Midge.
Friends may call on Louise’s family from 1 to 4 pm, Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11 am, Monday, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be Nolan Tucker, Tony Olivas, Mike Sprague, Brandon Combs, Ed Keenan, and Dan Daly, with honorary bearers; Baron, Corey, Darren, and Philip Hall.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form a random act of kindness for someone in need.
Louise’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff on Tower 6 and 3 West at Glens Falls Hospital, as well as Dr. Way, Sharon Shannon, and niece, Lori Combs, for the exceptional care provided throughout her final chapter.
