Sharon Laurel (Bradway) DuRose, 61, formerly of Schenectady, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at her home in Shelbyville, TN. Born February 23, 1954, in Winn, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Erwin and Leita E. (Granger) Bradway. Sharon was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Bradway and Gloria Ferguson of AZ. She is survived by a son, Lyn (Kendra) DuRose of Shelbyville, TN; daughter, Kristi Kennan of Schenectady; grandchildren, Jacob DuRose, Christoper and Rayven Kennan, and Dyanna Bharnes; two great-granchildren, Jasdyanna and Gabrielle Bharnes; brothers, Roscoe (Patricia) Bradway of North Creek, Lawrence (Sandy) Bradway of Whitehall, David (Mary) Bradway of Pottersville, and Erwin (Laura) Bradway, Jr., Walter Bradway, and Jesse Bradway, all of North Creek; her aunts, Norma Hitchcock and Jenny Mosher. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her lifelong friend, Sharon Coppola. Friends may call on Sharon’s family from 10 to 11 am, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at 11 am, Tuesday, at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Andrews, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg officiating. Burial will follow in Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg. A heartfelt thank you to Sharon’s son, Lyn, for the excellent care he provided, alongside Kendra, to Sharon, throughout her illness.
