WARRENSBURG: Jo Ann Sinko, 83, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, went into the arms of our Lord, peacefully, Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 9, 1931 in Bentleyville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Edna (Bane) Mason. She was a dedicated employee at Warrensburg Central School for over 25 years. Jo Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family; they meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching the cooking channel. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Adam Sinko, and a sister, Phyllis Polen. Jo Ann is survived by a daughter, Debra Baker and her husband, Fred, of Warrensburg; son, Richard Sinko and his wife, Pamela, of Latham; four grandsons, Joel Baker and his wife, Jacqui, of Warrensburg, Joshua Baker and his wife, Nicole, of Bolton Landing, and Eric and Chad Sinko, both of Latham; and three great-grandchildren, Morgen, Alivia, and Madilyn Baker. At Jo Ann’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of her family. She will be laid to rest in Warrensburg Cemetery. Jo Ann’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Nedra, at Warren County Health Services for the care and compassion extended to mom and our family throughout her final transition. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Jo Ann’s memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
