Bolton Landing:
Robert E. Kelly, 82, a long time resident of Bolton Landing passed on to his eternal reward Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
Born August 17, 1931 in Elmhurst, he was the son of the late Gene and Bertha (Ostermann) Kelly.
Bob served his country honorably during the Korean War, and a retired radio engineer from WNYC. He relocated to Bolton to pursue his hobbies in artistic painting and HAM radio operation.
Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Eugene and Kevin Kelly.
Bob is survived by his brother, Joseph Kelly and his wife, Elaine of Kings Park; sisters, Cecile Zitelli and her husband, Paul of NJ, and Pat Mensel, also of NJ; along with 18 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Goodman Ave., Bolton Landing.
Friends may call on Bob’s family one hour prior to the mass, from 10-11 am, Saturday at the church.
Rite of Committal with military honors will immediately follow in Bolton Rural Cemetery.
