Obituary of Frances E. Morrison

Gansevoort: Frances E. Morrison, 54, of Colebrook Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital following a brief illness. Born November 2, 1958 in Plattsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Linda Haskell. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Fran will forever be remembered as the local “wine lady.” She was the co-owner of Colebrook Country Wines in Gansevoort. She was very community minded and organized many fundraisers for local families in need. Fran was a loving mother, friend and caregiver. She took great pride caring for the consumers at several ARC locations for nearly 15 years. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Raymond. She is survived by her beloved children: Hope Lloyd of Glens Falls and James Lloyd of Watervilet; her sister, Charlotte Haskell of Thurman; her brothers: Donald Haskell and his wife, Hilda of Thurman; Charles Haskell and his companion, DeeDee Duell of Thurman; and her companion, John Cameron of Gansevoort; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Fran’s family from 2 to 3 pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 3 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Barrow, Pastor of the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church, officiating.
