Obituary of Joe Ann L. Baker

Please share a memory of Joe to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bolton Landing: Joe Ann Baker, 68, of Alder Brook Rd., passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at home, with her beloved husband by her side. Born January 17, 1943 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Isabel (Morehouse) Miner of Lake George and the late Gilbert Frasier. For several years Joe bought and sold antiques, she then transitioned to being an Avon representative for 14 years; while also working as an inspector for the Warren County Democratic Committee. Joe was predeceased by two step-sons, Brian and Scott Baker, her step-father, Edward Miner, as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. Besides her mother and closest friend, Isabel Miner, Joe leaves behind her most wonderful husband of 36 years, Kenneth Baker of Bolton Landing, whom she referred to as her “rock”; her sons, Roger E. Potter, and his wife, Cindi of Riverview FL; Kevin E. Baker and his estranged wife, Bonnie of Bolton Landing; her sister, Deska Sheehan and her husband, Dan of Fort Edward; a brother, Buddy Miner of Lake George, who has been there for her all the way; her wonderful grandchildren, Roger E. “RJ” Potter and his fiancée, Ami, also of FL; Brandon and Courtney Baker of Bolton Landing; a step-daughter, Melanie Hall and her husband, Brion, and their children, Brion, Jr., Curtis, Charles, Travis, Thomas, Brad, and Theresa, and her husband, Tony, all of Adirondack; step-grandchildren, Andrew Beswick, Robin, Robert, Emily, and Erin Baker; two great-granddaughters; Elexis and Elizabeth; and a step great-grandson, Brydon Lucas. May God shine upon my brother, Buddy and my son, Kevin with special blessings; what an outstanding amount one has, but doesn’t realize it. Joe deeply appreciated all the cards, letters, and personal phone calls she received; they made everything perfect, as she got to say what she felt to each individual. A special thanks to “Michigan Rummy girls”, Mary and Rod, and the whole town crew for all they’ve done. At Joe’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service scheduled. She has asked for each and every person that has been a part of her life, to “pass it on” and touch someone’s life; whether it’s a hug, a cup of coffee, or a donation to the Bolton Volunteer Fire Co. “Love to all… especially to my “world” and most precious gift, my husband.” Please visit www.alexanderfh.net for online guest book, condolences, and directions.
