Newcomb: Denice Hope (Robinson) Gregson, 57, of State Route 28N, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband, children, family, and longtime best friend. Born September 21, 1956 in Tahawus, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Ruth A. (Dalaba) Robinson. She married Blair Gregson at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Barry Gregson on November 15, 1977 in Arroyo Grande, CA. Denice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who treasured the time spent with her family; though the time spent seemed short lived, she cherished every moment, deeply cared for, and wished only the best for them. She enjoyed traveling, writing, signing, and producing music with The Keystone Band, something she shared with her husband, pursuing their musical hopes and dreams together. Besides her parents, Denice was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Smith, a brother-in-law, Lance Gregson, and several extended family members. She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Blair Gregson; her daughters, Jamie Davie and her husband, Nate, Elly Norton, and Rebecca Pless, and her husband, Gary, all of Olmstedville; her sons, Blair James Gregson of Newcomb, and Ryan Gregson and his fiancée, Becky Potter, of Blue Mountain Lake; grandchildren, Dustin, Nicholas, Kaleb, Conner, Grace, Hudson, Abigail, and Lance; a brother, Ronald Smith and his wife, Paula, of Syracuse; six sisters, Darlene Gregson and her husband, Barry of Schroon Lake, and Bonnie, Linda, Joan, Sharon, and Nancy, all of Minnesota; her mother-in-law, Carol Gregson, and several additional in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Denice’s family from 3 to 5 pm, Friday, April 25, 2014 at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place immediately following the visitation, at 5 pm, at the funeral home, with Fr. Peter Berg presiding. Denice’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to High Peaks Hospice for the care they provided throughout her last few months, especially Heather Walker, Patience Whittman, Jessica Gay, and Lacy Mallatte, who always braided Denice’s hair so beautifully; Kevin Bolan and the staff at the Newcomb Health Center for their continuous love and support over the past seven years; and lastly, the ICU staff at Glens Falls Hospital, for guiding them through this difficult time and kepping her compfrtable in her last days.
