Obituary of Ronald W. Robson

Lake George: Ronald Robson, 69, of Mohican Street, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home, with his loving family by his side. Born February 20, 1944 in Springfield, IL, he was the son of the late William Albert and Ilo Bernice (Hashman) Robson. Ron grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, where he graduated high school and was employed for Rexall Drug store throughout his formative years. Following his graduation, he relocated to Ballston Spa. Ron was a hard worker, retiring from Finch Pruyn after 26 of dedicated employment. He enjoyed his last 13 years, spending all of his time at Sullivan’s Rexall and Sadie’s in Lake George Village, alongside his best friend, Sadie. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Peggy Werst, and a brother, George Robson. He is survived by his beloved children, Misty Straus and her husband, Tony, of Saratoga Springs, and Scott Robson of Ballston Spa; his siblings, Sandra McDonald of TX, Marian Hess of Eudora, KS, Cheryl Evilsizor of Lecompton, KS, Connie Clark of Kansas City, KS, and Cindy Hout of Lawrence, KS. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Ron’s family from 2 to 4 pm, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate his life will follow the visitation at 4 pm, Thursday at the funeral home with Sister Linda Hogan, officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Ron’s memory to the North Country Ministry, 3933 Main St., Warrensburg, NY 12885.
