Obituary of Gary L. Hammond

Pottersville: Gary L. Hammond, 62, of Rt. 9, passed away, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. Born November 15, 1944 in Olmstedville, he was the son of the late Leland and Dorothy (Howe) Hammond. Gary really enjoyed the Adirondacks, where he loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid NY Giants fan and was known for his infectious laugh. His great sense of humor will never be forgotten. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his siblings, David Hammond and his wife, Jane, of Pottersville, Philip Hammond of North Creek, Lucille Hammond and her husband, Chuck Werner of Glens Falls, Eugene Hammond of Whitehall, Michael Hammond of Pottersville, Dale Hammond and his wife, Lois of Brant Lake, Brian Hammond of Saratoga Springs, Bruce Hammond and his wife, Cyndy of Olmstedville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call on Gary’s family from 6-8 pm today (Friday) at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc, 4479 State Rt. 28, North River. Funeral services will be conducted 1 pm Saturday at the Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Olmstedville with Pastor Chad Haneman officiating. Burial will follow in Federal Flats Cemetery, Olmstedville.
