Obituary of Gloria M. Magee

IOWA PARK, Texas Gloria Marie (Steen) Magee, 80, passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Gloria was born Dec. 19, 1928, in New York, N.Y., to Ivan and Marie (Wagner) Steen. She married Hugh Magee in Warrensburg, N.Y., and was a retired post master from the Athol, N.Y. postal service, retiring in 1984. She attended Floral Heights United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she has lived for the past five years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, bridge club, the Methodist women's group, and a member of the woman's auxiliary for the Thurman volunteer fire department. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one son, Daniel Magee. Surviving relatives include one daughter, Kathleen Whitehead, and her husband, Ronald, of Wichita Falls, Texas; one granddaughter, Melissa Seals, and her husband, Mark, of the Woodlands, Texas; and three great-grandsons, Caelin, Alex, and Brooks.
