Obituary of Nancy E. Millington

Warrensburg: Nancy E. Millington, 78, formerly of Alden Ave., passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the home of her son in Fort Ann surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1928 in Stony Creek, the daughter of the late Harris and Polly Jane (Wood) Williams. Nancy married her childhood sweetheart, Lawrence Millington Sr. on July 7, 1945, the couple lived in California, Arizona, Florida and settled in Warrensburg. Mr. Millington passed away on January 5, 1999 after 53 years together. She was raised with the Methodist faith. Her favorite pastimes included genealogy, collecting stones, board games and doing the daily word searches. She enjoyed singing and in her early years, Nancy sang, played keyboard and bass in a country music band with her brother, Norman. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Norman & Hollis Williams and Leslie Wood; and her sister, Ellen MacCammon. Nancy is survived by her children, June Millington of Queensbury, Sally Wallace and her husband, Jake of Chestertown and Paul J. Millington and his wife, Irene of Ft. Ann; six grandchildren, April Dickenson and her husband, Phil, Jenny Jenks and her husband, Dan, Paul Millington, Gregory Millington and his wife, Michelle, Becky Moon, Jeremy Moon and his wife, Erin, Jennifer Wallace and Daniel Wallace; nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Dylan, Michael, Simon, Jonathan, Joseph and Joshua; her sister, Alice Millington of VT; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Thursday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg with the Rev. Lee B. Call, Pastor of the Faith Baptist Church in Warrensburg officiating. Friends may call on Nancy’s family one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
