It saddens my heart to hear the news of Ray's passing. I spent so much time at the Robinson home with Lisa growing up. Ray was an exceptional teacher and had such a quirky, laid back sense of humor. I hope Fay and Lisa, as well as the rest of the family find strength and comfort in the years of wonderful memories they will have always. God bless and keep "Papa Ray." Love, ~Robin

Ray has been an inspiration to many and to me, as a teacher, a friend and a knowledgeable, honest source of amazing information. He was a story teller with an ability to take one on his journeys of memories, almost as if being there with him. It has been a privilege to have known Ray and he is missed.

Dear Fay&Family: It is with sadness that we have learned of Ray's passing...What a privilege is was to have Ray as my high school Social Studies teacher at JCS....those of us in the class of 69 have GREAT MEMORIES in his classroom! Whenever a group of us hang out(as we just celebrated Marylou Arsenault Young's 65th birthday) Ray's name always comes up in conversation, as all of us as teenage girls had crushes on him! You are to be commended as his faithful care-giver for such a long period, and know that you are in our prayers as you grieve this loss. Fondly, Cathy&Wayne Kimmerly

Mr. Robinson was my hero. All of my memories of him are fond ones. He was an incredible teacher. He had no need for discipline in his class as he had the respect of all of his students and their affection as well. When I was filling our my schedule for senior year I needed one more class so I requested taking 10th grade social studies over again because it was so much fun. He was approachable and would let me in on his little secrets, like how he could hit the trashcan that was well behind him with a rolled up piece of paper every time. (He had fantastic peripheral vision.) We dreaded the phrase, "OK people, time for a pop-quiz." I will miss him and treasure my memories of him. I offer my condolences to his family and my fellow students of this great man.

"Take out a sheet of paper and number it from 1 to 10..." ....... Any JCS high school history class student quickly learned that Mr. Robinson loved to give pop quizzes!! I do not think he even counted them in our average..It was just his way of making sure we were reading the assigned history chapters... I can still see him sitting on the front of his desk in his fitted suit and tie.....lightly hitting his flexed knee with a short ruler while telling us about all the places he explored while stationed overseas...... He was handsome and fun and never happier than when he to ran into any of us walking around North Creek in his retirement years.... Many of us now spend hours watching The History Channel because of his fascinating classroom introduction to all facets of geography and World politics.... Shine on in heaven...

Every time I think about Mr. Robinson, the very first thing I remember is having to do those horrible maps. Now, of course in hindsight, I realize the importance of these maps and the knowledge gained from drawing them, how very important they were, but at that particular time, I just thought what a crazy and unimportant idea it was and that Mr. Robinson must have had nothing else for us to do, so therefore, he told us to draw maps. This man is one of the very few men who deserves the respect of being called Mr., from his former students, regardless of that former student's age. What a phenomenal teacher but even more so, what a phenomenal man. My sympathy to his family but most especially to his loving wife. Kris and Donna (LaPell) Fuller
